hi all,
I am supporting a computer for a small non-profit Photographic Club, who have an Epson 1290 Inkjet Printer. Printing an A4 colour picture can cost around $2.50 a sheet.
What I am investigating is how to audit printer usage. Ideally this would report actual ink coverage as well as page usage. Being a small club, price is a BIG issue.
Here is a list that of products that I have found and am evaluating - for which I'll provide a summary here when I'm done. Do you have any thoughts on these, or any other methods of auditing page/ink usage?
Advanced Printers Activity Logger
Calibre Print Auditor
Ink Level Cartridge Reset
Paper Cut
Pokluda Ink Monitor
Print Charger
Print Manager Plus
Print Suite
Print Watch
Printer Gardian
or, somehow extracting data from Event Log
