Just added a new w2k3 server to the network and act as parallel DC with w2k DC.
I would like to make the new W2k3 DC be a primary DC.
What should I do?
How do i know the main/primary DC is in the W2k3 server?
There is no PDC or BDC with Windows 2000/2003 server.
For the W2K3 server to act as a DC you need to first upgrade the active directory schema by running adprep from the W2K3 CD (If its 2003 R2 then you need to run adprep from the second CD).
Then you can run dcpromo to make the W2K3 server a domain controller.

If the W2K3 server has already been promoted to a DC, then all you need to do is transfer the FSMO roles. There are 5 roles, if you intend on transferring all of them. Or, you could split the FSMO roles between the DC's. However, this is usually only done for larger-scale deployments.
You'll also need to update some things in Exchange if you're using Exchange. Also, are there any other services running that need to be moved, such as DNS, DHCP, etc?
