primary and secondary dns servers

Hello everyone,
I would like to setup primary and secondary DNS servers. Do I need to enable any port for zone transfer?


I tried to setup, but two dns servers couldn't recognize each other.

I can ping each server successfully. I use DNS from windows 2003 enterprise edition and DNS Plus for windows 2003 web edition.


Help please!!!!!

If there is a firewall between the 2 machines try opening up all ports and see if it works then.

Thanks for you help. My DNS servers are working now. I opened both 53 udp and tcp port. Before, I opened one of them.
