Price of VB.NET vs VB 6.0

I need a license for VB and I've been shopping around, can anyone tell me why I can buy VB.NET 2003 for $99 but VB 6.0 Pro costs $800? I'm know 6.0 well and I'm not worried about the transition to .NET, I am worried about the purchase of the software I don't want to get screwed out of features. Does .NET 2003 Standard have all the capabilites of VB 6.0 Pro?

The only way you can get a single language in .Net is to get a standard edition. It does lack some features of the better versions. I beleive if you check for VS.Net Pro, its price range will be in the neighborhood of that VB 6 Pro. Check MSDN for edition comparisons.
