Oracle ERP 10.7 - Looking for a method to update the detail lines (item numbers, dates, and prices) in a price list from an external file. Has anyone seen such a procedure or method.
We did mass changes to our price lists from flat files in 11.0.3
We sql*loaded the flat files into temporary tables and used stored procedures that we wrote to update the data. .

I quess my question remains is "what" stored procedures did you use? Who supplied them, Oracle, 3rd Party, or in-house. Oracle makes such a big fuss about updating the tables only from their program, which is ok, but doesn't give or I haven't found, good explainations on some very common data updates from external sources.
This use it 'as is' and be happy with 80% of the business function will never make it at any company I have ever worked for. Management wants what they want and don't tell them that the system wouldn't do it, that don't fly after spending the money they did to buy it.
As far as I am aware, there is no "price list interface" to import or update price list information. Oracles stance is that price list changes should be made through the GUI.
We wrote the stored procedures and updated the data in the tables directly.
