Hello, I have been dealing with this issue all week, the avaya system status shows that the PRI is out of service.
I called the phone company, they did some tests, and they claim that all is good on their side. I changed the PRI card on my IP500. the card was is new and was tested before.
in the ip500 all it is good and seems to be working fine.
I even changed the cable going from the PRI to the IP500.
and at this point the PRI works according to the provider, the IP500, and the PRI card works, the cable works.

is there anything Im missing.

any help please.

thank you

Probably a config mismatch and/or you need a crossover cable. You should get/hire an ISDN tester, then you could have settled this in hours as oppose to "all week" :)

If everything else tests out then I agree with amriddle. It is either a config mismatch or you need a crossover cable. Note that a crossover cable for a PRI is NOT the same as a data crossover cable. A PRI/T1 crossover cable swaps pair 1-2 with 4-5 respectively.

ok, just close the thread.

I called again the phone company, to do more tests on the PRI. and turns out it was the PRI.

cheers
