Hi,

I am unable to view any reports from my VB6 application on one of my user's NT 4.0 machines. At first, I thought it was because no printer was installed, but now a printer is installed, and still, no reports are coming up. I recopied all the dlls for Crystal (that were in the initial setup/cab files) and the ocx file (dated 11/08/98). They are listed below.

craxdrt.dll
crpaig32.dll
crpe32.dll
crviewer.dll
crxlat32.dll
crystl32.ocx

NB. The reports were originally designed in Crystal 7, most of them have been edited in 8.5. Would this have any bearing on my problem. I thought that it could, but I have used these reports on other pc's without having this problem.

Thanks for any help.

The print engine dlls are version specific, so V7 dlls won't run V8.5 reports. However, V8.5 can save reports in V7 format, as long as you don't use any V8x functions.

Also, copying dlls won't help unless they are properly registered. The list of requied files is in the developer help. Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting
