My form starts in Edit mode i.e. a blank entry form. When data is entered and the form is closed the save is automatic. That is okay. Sometimes the user exits without entering data. In that case a blank record is added. I do not want the blank record saved. How can I prevent a blank record from beign saved.

Thanks!

do you have a field that is required on the form?? say the person's name or some other part of the record that is required... go into the form design mode, and go into the properties for that field, and make it a required field... you can also make it to not allow zero lenth... when this is done on the form level, if that field is blank it will give an error, and ask if you want to discard it...

check it out...
