When I remove the SMTP address the messages were sent successfully but with X400 address only....
I have to "block" outgoing messages permanently.
The workaround for this is to select the option "Prohibit send" and to set it "0"
Do you have any professional way to accomplish that?
Regarding the "clean up".. any idea?
The better solution for outbound email restriction would be to set-up an SMTP connector and prohibit sending from a security group. This way you can add or remove people as you wish, but not have to mess with individual permissions.
I currently use the above method. I also use that same group to create prevent inbound email as well. A recipient policy looks at that group at assigns .local as the SMTP address instead of our domain. This way they are limited to internal communication only.
