Prevent a user from updating data in a subform

I am collecting the Active Directory user name using Environ and am able to keep a subset of user from updating data in the main form but not a sub form.

Anyone have any hints.

set the properties of the subform to
allow edits = false
allow addtions = false
allow deletions = false

You can also try make the main form record source into a totals query.
