Hello,

I recently deployed Citrix Presentation Server 4.5. I seem to be having an issue where only admin users are able to connect the citrix box. I have confirmed that the users that i want to allow to connect are part of the remote desktop group and they are. But for some reason when i try to log in as them via the citrix client, i get the following error:

"The desktop you are trying to open is currently available only to administrators. Contact your administrator to confirm that the correct settings are in place for your client connections."

Please help!! I am new to citrix so I am not sure how to fix this problem. I am sure it must be somthing simple.

From the local terminal, log on as administrator. Go to Administrative Tools - Terminal Services Configuration. Right click ICA-tcp and click properties. Go to the ICA Settings tab and uncheck "Non-administrators only launch published applications.
 
Yes!! Thanks man. That did it. I have been breaking my head over this for the last day. I really appreciate the help. Have you been working with Citrix for a long time???

A few years. Just upgraded to 4.5 recently. I had the exact same problem. We upgraded from XP to 4.0 and they added that feature and the configuration was in one spot and I had to research how to get around the error message. Then we upgraded to 4.5 and the configuration changed again.
