I'm using my laptop Compaq Presario 700US with a external mouse, How do I disable the mouse pad from the keyboard ??

Try this:
-Click on Start, choose Settings, then click on Control Panel.
-Double click on the Mouse Icon.
-Select the 'More Features' tab at top.
-Under 'External PS/2 Port', select 'External mouse overrides built-in TouchPad'.

You may be able to disable it in bios or setup. Let everything that have breath praise the Lord.
