Premiere Freezes when I save?

Hi, whenever i save a project in premiere my computer locks up, and I have to ctr+alt+del to close premiere. Even if I save an empty project with no imported files this happens, it has become quite frustrating. any help would be great.
I have a p4 2.4 ghZ proccesor, with 256mb ram.
