i've just installed premiere pro to start working on a music video using clips from a tv series' dvd. the only type of files i am able to work with for this particular project are 24fps xvid encoded. not sure if this has anything to do with it, but whenever i click outside of the premiere app to let's say internet explorer or even windows explorer, it just crashes on me. even opening up the help file crashes premiere. my project is set to 24p and everything works while i'm editing, so i'm not really sure what's wrong. anyone else have a similar problem???

Premiere Crashing....

6.5 crashes on me all the time, although under slightly different conditions. Mine (and most others I've read about) seem to be memory issues. I've just begun to accept it and work slower with nothing else open. Oh yea, and save a lot!
