Under file/capture/settings/device control/options you will find a dro-down box for selecting the make of input device. AVS isn't listed, so try Generic.
If that doersn't work, try the others in the hope that one will be OK. However, since compatibility is mostly to do with control of hardware, which won't apply in your case, I would expect Generic to be OK.
