Ok, here's my issue. I recently switched from Premiere 6.0 to Pro 1.5.

In 6.0, it was so simple to shorten the audio track to match the length of above video tracks. All i had to do was move it over with the mouse.

Likewise, I could easily fade audio tracks in and out by just adjustin those red lines, making one of thos square markers, and draggin the first or last five seconds all the way down.

How the hell can I do that in 1.5? It seems like I can't shorten the audio tracks and there is no way to fade in music or fade it out with just a few clicks. Someone help?

You can shorten the track just as in P6.0.. Just grab your pointer tool and hover onver the end until the red bracket shows and then shorten it..

As for cross fades a couple different ways now.. One you can use the PEN tool and on the Audio Track select SHOW CLIP VOLUME or SHOW TRACK VOLUME and adjust to your hearts content.

The easier way is grab Constant Power or Constant Gain from the Audio Transitions effects tab..Toss in at the beginning or end of the audio clip.
