Premicell Config

We have just inherited some Nokia Premicells and have connected these us as CO trunks. Our system is CM3.1.4

2 issues we have are, 1 no matter how the cell/mobile number is dialed, it always takes about 15 seconds for the call to connect and dial as per the trace below:

The second issue is when the call has been connected, the user on the IP phone hears a constant hissing sound and a lot of feedback. The users on the cell/mobile hears a great quality call.

Please let me know if you have any ideas of who to resolve these issues.

 
Number of digits expected is not set, it is timing out under interdigit timer. Set the number or add a pound to the endof the dial string.

Your trunk gain is set high, that will amplify any hiss coming from the attached equipment. You'll have to fiddle with values to get the best compromise.
 
Thanks 392. The digits for these calls are set to min 11 max 11 in the ARS tables. Below you can see what I mean by the timing:

The trunk is siezed at 09:41, the number dialled at 09:43 but it only goes active at 09:53.

I will try to change the gain to see what the outcome it.
 
CO trunk signalling is MUCH, MUCH, MUCH slower than signalling from a PRI. You are LUCKY they connect in only 15 seconds, I think that is actually fast for a device connected as a CO trunk...

Same thing. The time taken is the same if I press the # or not
