A long time ago, when we first set up our Windows 2000 Active Directory, I made some preference mode configurations in the internet explorer maintenance group policy. Whenever I go in to modify those settings now, though, the policy editor performs a small crash. That is, when I get to the point of double-clicking, for instance, "Corporate Settings," and it starts to try and load C:\WINNT\INF\inetcorp.adm, the policy page closes after a brief hourglass, and I'm brought back to the active directory "home."
I have...
(1) Verified that the two respective admin templates do exist in the specified location.
(2) Tried multiple different domain controllers.
(3) Verified that I am still in preference mode in that particular policy.
(4) Used the "reset browser settings" funcion on the policy and returned to preference mode.
(5) Verified that I can edit other policies just fine.
Any ideas?
