Hey ghubbell
(I know you would be the one to answers this one)

I can't recall if I saw this question or not
But You know how I have been working with blue print numbers.
I was curious if its possible to start an auto number at a predetermined number i.e. instead of 1, 2, 3 and so on. Is it possible to start at say 100 and then go 101, 102, 103 and so on?
Only reason why I am asking, is because on the Northwind traders database, I noticed their orders table auto number started at like 102101.

By the way thank you for the help with the bad expression.

Joel

Sure Joel, I've never done it using autonumbers but I did see a thread around a week or two ago and someone said either append a stack of records and delete them, or another idea which I didn't try was to append 1 record into the table and append the number you want -1 onto~into the Autonumber field. Give it a go on a copy of your table! Gord
