powerpoint xp - auto chaging text size

If i paste any text into my presentation it changes from 14 which was the original to 18. It's really annoying!!

This sounds like powerpoint trying to be helpful!

Turn off the 'powerpoint being helpful' features by

Tools menu > autocorrect > autoformat as you type >

Turn off

- automatic bulleted
- autofit title
- autofit body

[ok] that

Tools menu > options > spelling and style > style options > turn off

Fonts:
- number of fonts
- title text
- body text

Legibility:
- number of bullets
- number of lines per title
- number of lines per bullet
