Hello all. Long time reader, first time writer. I have a simple question to do with Powerpoint 2002. Is there a way to edit what text appears in the outline of a slide. What ever you type in the title appears in the outline and I would like to be able to have only a portion of the title appear in the outline. Thanks!

Basically, the slid title will have a city name - report name. On the outline I would like only the city name to appear. Example, Denver - Weekly Report. I would like only Denver to appear in the outline.

Thanks Skip!

I believe this is *by design*.

Generally, an outline shows the *headings*.
If you don't want it to appear in the outline, Skip is right, place that part in a separate textbox, not in the "click to add slide title" jobbie.
