Hi,
I have a powerpoint presentation with just 2 slides. they have movies embedded in them and i want to make them loop continously. For some reason it will do it for about 5 minutes then the screen will go white. Any ideas? free, anonymous advice provided by the whole world

Do you have a screen saver enabled or any power management settings applied on the pc?

screensaver is set to "none", and on NT4 i cant seem to find the power management settings. although the power management would put it on standby surely.. not put up a blank white screen? free, anonymous advice provided by the whole world

Hypothetically yes, but I've seen stranger things. It might also be something running on a timer in the background that throws powerpoint off...

I don't have an NT machine at my disposal, but I'm pretty sure you've got to reboot and key yourself into the BIOS. Is this machine one you've used often? I mean, if you have and you're not used to monitor/drive standby after 5 minutes or so, then this is probably not your fix.

well at the moment i cant even work out how to get into the bios!
but thinking about it, you are probably right. it doesnt do this whe you leave it alone for 5 minutes so why would it do itafter 5 minutes of being in powerpoint? unless the problem was something to do with powerpoint?
so yeah, there must be a problem with powerpoint somewhere... im just not sure where. free, anonymous advice provided by the whole world
