I have a presentation (MS PowerPoint 2002, SP 3) I am preparing for publication to CD. In order to get it through Adobe 5.05 pdf I had to remove the gradient in the background. When I did that, one of the graphics disappeared. When I tried to "grab" the picture in the original ppt to copy and paste it into the new ppt I couldn't. No matter what I do, I never get handles or boxes or anything familiar to appear. And when I copy the original slide and paste it into a new slide in the new presentation, it is blank.

Maybe the graphic is in the master? Go to View - Master -Slide Master

Tried that - it's not there. I called the author and told him about the problem. I'll post the solution if I figure it out.

rosepetal,

my guess is that the graphic in question is on the "background" as powerpoint calls it.

If you view the slide, then go

format menu > background > drop down box with colour in it > fill effects > picture....

you should see the graphic.

When I go into format>background the picture appears on the thumbnail. I didn't even notice it.
