powerpoint 2007 printing issues

I have created a presentation in Powerpoint that I want to print to an Afisio dsc338. The presentation contains some of the new formatting features ie shadows ect. When I print it the presentation to this printer the advanced formatting is not printed. If I print the document to PDF from Powerpoint and then print the generated PDF file the formatting is fine. Is this a bug with Office 2007. I am still using the trial copy at the moment! upgrading in the next day or two!

Sounds to me like printer properties issue or a printer driver issue. But, then again I don't have 2007
