Powerline home network setup question

I am in the process of setting up a home network using Homeplug 1.0 powerline bridges.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it will work if I use 2 different brands(like netgear and gigafast)...with gigafast attached to the router, and the netgear attached to the computers? Has anyone done this sucessfully?

They are supposed to. I have used Netgear with Linksys without issue.
