I am currently running a domain on the domain I have a group with limited capabilitys. I have local machines and I added the entire group to power users on every local machine. However they are still having problems running certain software etc. Can someone help?

can some one please help on this ??

unfortunately, it's a big myth that being a member of Power Users allows you to run/install almost anything. This is due to programmers still installing registry entries in the LOCAL MACHINE hive as opposed to the CURRENT USER hive. So, shy of giving these users local admin rights, You'll need to identify which apps are problematic and the respective registry entries they access. Then, give these users change permissions on those registry entries.
