I just installed a 60GB HD to add to my existing 20GB HD. All that went fine, however, I was short a power cable. This machine has 2 CD Players, one is a burner. I had to remove the power cable from the burner to go ahead with the new HD Installation.

My question is, since I don't have any more plugs available, is it possible, and if it is, are there any drawbacks, to perhaps finding a splitter of some sort? Something where I can take one of the power cables, plug it into this splitter, then have 2 available power plugs from that?

If so, I'll see if I can find something like that at the computer store.

Thanks!

They are widely available at computer stores, no problems providing your power supply is up to the job.

Common practice as Mulga said! Martin Just trying to help, sometimes falling short, I am only human after all.
