Power point XP SP 2 freeze

I've trouble when opening a powerpoint file created with powerpoint 97 with ppt XP. The application freeze when I try the chage the text into a slide.
This problem seems to be linked to powoer point XP SP2. If I do the same test with ppt XP (without SP2) there is no problem.
Is someone aware of this problem. Is there a fix ?
