I have a design template from my company that I have to use for all presentaitons. It automatically makes every placeholder filled white with a black border around it. It's driving me crazy. I have to change it on every single placeholder in the entire presentaion. When I try to change it in the slide master, there are no placeholders showing in "master view" How do I change it forever?

You can try editing the color scheme. Go to Slide Show\Animation schemes, Click on color schemes in the top of the Slide Design window, then on edit color schemes at the bottom of the Slide Design window. Go to custom, choose your object, change the color and apply.
