The power went out for about 45 min and all of the meridian phones lost their individual feature button programming as well as the date and time and other programming. They originally had 5 lines but defaulted back to 2. Startalk was not affected. I re-programmed everything but I am having a couple problems.

1.) If you call out from ANY phone (12 of them) and you reach any automated system you CANNOT press any numbers to reach your desired destination. IE. "if you know your party's extension press....." The phones work fine otherwise. You can dial any numbers. With Startalk you can retreive your own messages with no problem. It's only when calling on an outside line. WIERD?

2.)We also have 3 reg portable phones connected to ATA's. They used to be able to get an outside line by pressing 9 and now they won't. I have checked the programming for those extensions and it all appears OK?

3.) We also have a meridian portable T7406. It can no longer receive calls through the intercom button. It can call other phones using the intercom button but if you call that intercom number it DOES RING but if you press the intercom button to answer you get a dial tone and the ringing does not stop. This phone is programmed with 3 lines and the next 3 buttons are as follows speed dial, page, intercom. If I change the number of intercoms for this extension to anything other than 2 you can't call out to other extensions.

I have never come across any of these problems! power has gone out before and the phones were never affected.
Am I missing something?

Where is the correct forum? What is a keysystem?

sorry but call vendor we are not over in norstar forum to give away the house

ski season has started

Luv2ski, I'm not looking to get the house for free.

I was looking for information on the system. Do we need a new system or is it a programming issue? Before I contact a vendor I would like to know what the problem is.
