Hi

We have a small seperate business only 3 agents who have calls coming from a toll free number and terminating to a DID that is terminated on a TN and then routed to the proper DN.

What do i need to do to have these calls come in on a PRI and get routed to the proper extension?

Thanks

Trevor

if you already have a PRI into your switch, telco can port those numbers onto the PRI for you

Or calls coming through your PRI can be manipulated by the IDC table in LD 49 and sent wherever you need.

Hi phonz1

Yes we already have PRI.

If i call the telco and have them port the number to the pri how do i direct the calls to the dn of the 3 agents? We have 2 other businesses that all calls come via PRI and the agents are in ACD group, would i need to create a new ACD group for these calls or can i route them without using ACD?

Thanks

Trevor

In LD49, you could build an IDC table, that would point them wherever you'd like. You would then also need to check the RDB in LD21 for the IDC prompts and make sure they are set to yes, and NDGT is the number of digits that you use etc.

ACD is something different from porting the numbers to the PRI and steering them to an extension

Hi

So i printed the idc table, is CDGT the call destination?

If my DID ends in 1234 and the extension i want to recieve the call is 5678 do i add 1234 in IDGT and 5678 as CDGT?

Also:

This is the RDB that the lines use now: Do i need to make a new route because it is COT?

ok, CDGT is the outside number coming in, IDGT is the number inside that you point the CDGT to. ie: my ext is 3193, I could point any outside number to it, say 800 866 8000, I would do CDGT 8000 IDGT 3193.

Now, the route, you would out the COT's and after they are ported to the PRI, and you've made sure that IDC is programmed on your existing PRI route, and you've made your IDC changes, you do nothing.....

Thanks phonz1

I think this is my PRI route and IDC is set to yes so i will call telco, add my entries to the IDC table out the cots and everything should be the same but different, Thanks again phonz1

Correct, also your idc table in this rte is 0, so your entried need to be added to 0. You should be good!

Hi phonz1

I tried to test this and i am having a problem:

TYPE idc
CUST 0
DCNO 0
DCNO 0
IDGT CDGT
2110 4599
2112 7001

I changed the idc table and added 2110 and 4599

4599 is last 4 digits of a did

2112 is an extension on my phone (not acd)

when i call (xxx) xxx-4599 i get reception and this error on pbx;

REQ:
ERR183 4599 1 16
!
>err err183
>

ERR0183 dnis tn
DNIS calls cannot terminate because the IDC Translation is invalid, or
the terminating station is not an ACD-DN.
Severity: Minor

What did i do wrong? and what is DNIS?

Thanks

Trevor

Trev:

Your IDGT should be the 4599 and the CDGT should be 2110.

Sorry, I did get the terms of IDGT and CDGT backwards, MagnaRGP is correct!

Hi phonz1 and MagnaRGP

Switched it and that works as you said it would,

Thanks guys
