Pots Line onto a PRI

Running an Option 11C with release 4.5 - have 1 PRI.

We were told by Verizon that we could move our pots line numbers onto our PRI and save money. We did this, but now I am trying to get them to ring at the proper extensions. I've tried to create a path for this in LD 49 using IDC, however, it is not working.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

When you say "it is not working", my first thought is "something is wrong".

Is it that you don't know where to start with IDC?...Or is it that you know IDC and it is doing something it shouldn't?

We can help (if someone hasn't already posted the answer)

You should of had them point each old phone number to a DID number and put that DID number on the phone you want it to ring on.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

what happens when you call the old number? is the pri a did route or atdn... idc works on did or disa only.. if it's a did, is it applied to the route?

Probally if you tell us what the Telco said they did might help us.

bad news... the telco "says" was more then likely a salesman... he said "save money" which is usually all he knew...

Yes, I was a little too quick with my post this morning.

To answer your question, it is a Pots Line Number, not a DID.

We have 1 PRI - Main Number xxx-489-xxxx

We have 3 seperate pots lines that are being ported over to the PRI

Our PRI is set up to go to the Auto Attendant.

Now when you call the pots line it goes to the AA. I have put the pots line xxx-457-xxxx into the IDGT and the DN into the CDGT 8550 where I would like it to ring, and made the changes in the RDB, however, after doing this the receptionist picks up.

Any suggestions?

How many digits are they sending you 4 or 7

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

They probably just pointed the POTS numbers's to your main DID number. Which means that you don't really have controll to move them without moving the DID number.

They should have ported the number over to the PRI as a non-consective DID, then it would come in like a DID number

Here is our RDB. The following have been changed for now, because our receptionist was getting bombarded with calls:

Auto is set to NO - I had it at Yes for testing purposes.
IDC was set to YES for testing.

it sounds like the line is going to a route with the trunks atdn to the menu... that does not offer control since your not getting digits at all just answer supervision control...

if my main number is 555 1000, with 20 trunks, the co does not send 555 1000 or even 1000... they send either a wnk start or a grd start, or pri they send owk... might try a trace to see what your getting... if you disconect a 1fb, the co uses a feature simular to rcfw... the dialed number reaches your switch the same as your main dn, you can not split it back out.... BUT that is a co option... what your truing to do was not made clear prior to the far end doing the software...

since it's a pri... ld 96 enl msgi x on the d, then call each of the old numbers... that will show you what your getting from the provider.. if you post that we might help.. you can change the numbers if needed but we are guessing answers, since you have not shown us any cards.

I just confirmed that they are sending the full 10 digits.

Ok, they are sending us 10 digits. This is what I have configured in our switch.

When you call either of these numbers, it goes to the Receptionist, not the extension in the room, nor the AA.

I found out from the Vendor that what was my Pots line is now being sent over as a 10 digit DID #.

I got the DID number to go to the proper DN, however, in doing so, the main numbers rings straight to the receptionist, when it use to go to Auto Attendant.

I created an IDC Table for this number in LD 49:

DCNO 2
IDGT CDGT
xxx4570550 8550
