I need some help with posting to the web. I swear I am doing everything right but everytime I post the site gives me this:
Index of/
Parent directory etc.

I have marked the homepage index.html but is there some way you actually have to define the homepage in Dreamweaver? Not just save it as index.html?
Thanks for the help!

When you get the index of parent directory, do you see all your site files there. if you do see the files listed, is index.html one of the files in the listing.

If it is then check with your host for what are allowable file names for the default page

There are no files listed at all. it just looks like this:
Index of /
Name Last modified Size Description
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parent Directory 16-Jun-2002 15:48 -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache/1.3.22 Ben-SSL/1.47 Server at Port 80

What is the URL??
Maybe the problem is with the uploading, are you using FTP?? I have not failed; I merely found 100,000 different ways of not succeding...

Yes I am using FTP. I got it so the files show up but it is still only an index of the files. I'm sure it's something stupid. Here is the link to my hopefully future site if I don't go completley banana's! Thanks for the help!

o.k. THIS IS HOW NEW I AM! You only learn by doing right? I'm sure I'll get better at this I'm determined. I didn't realize you just named your page index.html I thought you named it something.index.html. DUH! Thanks for your help though. Hopefully now I can keep my sanity!
