Here's the situation.

I'm having an issue with postfix.

If a request for delivery comes in to an unknown local user, it rejects (the way it should). Unfortunately, that's leading to a lot of e-mail address harvesting (it just looks for ones that actually went through). But that's a different issue.

If an e-mail comes in that's not to my system at all, it "deferrs" it... and tries to deliver it itself.

In other words, something comes in to someone@mail.ru -- it actually tries to deliver it for them. This is bad.

Here's a snippet from the log....

Jul 20 09:15:28 londo postfix/smtp[3230]: 7D2FBDFE2B: to=<bfhyde@trespass.net>,
relay=none, delay=6846, status=deferred (connect to trespass.net[66.116.109.62]:
Connection timed out)

OK, I'm not trespass.net... and I don't want to DELIVER mail for trespass.net.... but it says "relay=none".... this is driving me nuts. Any thoughts?
