Hello,

I am manually keeping track of my postage stock and reports. I would like to create a dbase file that would do the tracking and allow me to simply enter in the number used and print the report at the end of each month. The next month would simply continue on with the tracking.

I would have to be able to enter the on-hand postage quantity of stamps of a variety of denominations from one cents up to one dollar. The base amount should never change until I receive more stamps at which point I will need a screen allow me to add to the current stock. So I will need the dbase to track this increase in postage as it adds it to the current total.

While using stamps throughout the month of the varying denominations I will need to denote which denomination of stamp is being used (37 cent, $1, etc) and the quantity on the date used. This form would allow simple input that once I hit the OK button (or whatever) it would record the entered data and do the math on the stock, maintain the date used and simple note field as to reason used.

I am now manually tracking the quantities of debits/credits (if you will) of stamps until the end of the month at which point I tally up the final results, recount all of the stamps to ensure accuracy and then begin a new month.

The Report, which I can scan for whomever is interested, is simple and would need to look just as it is.

Thanks ahead of time for anyone interested and I look forward to speaking you.

Tony

Honestly, yes because I have been trying to get my pitiful excuse of the dbase to work for several weeks and I simply don't have the "know-how" to make it work. Creating forms and reports are the most I have been able to get to work somewhat correct but the rest and the background duties of the dbase I haven't been able to do and put it all together. Would you, or do you know anyone, that would be interested in creating the dbase? Nothing fancy and the barebones would be necessary. If interested please email me at tony.stowe@tn.ngb.army.mil Thanks.
