I have upgraded an Ex2003 Standard Server to an Enterprise server & re-applied SP1.

Now i can create additional Storage Groups and Mailbox Stores but the new Mailbox stores all come online with a 16GB limit as though the Enterprise Upgrade has not worked properly.

I can work round the problem by moving mailboxes across multiple stores but has anyone seen similar before?

TechNet and other resources have not been forthercoming with any answers....

Thanks.

I have done further testing on this and everything about the installation bahves as though it is an Enterprise server apart from teh 16GB IS Limt.

Has anyone ever seen anything remotely like this?

No, I'd suggest rerunning the Enterprise install then a manual reboot then reapply SP1 then reboot.

Surprising what a kick up the proverbial will do for a server.

I have encountered serveral problems with upgrading to Enterprise in my time, about 90% of the time it was down to the hidden service Exfis, not getting stopped during the upgrade. Althought the upgrade would appear to complete and few non critical error would come up, after the upgrade the system would be fully operational with no sign of any problems, except the event ID's that clearly indicated I was still running in standard mode.

I have found by stopping the service(net stop exfis)before the starting the upgrade it completes correctly.

Thanks Andy - Most Helpful.
