In a disaster recovery situation, it would be handy to have the Restore job definitions saved on a CD-R to expedite the restore process, and eliminate the steps that involve manual configuration. Where are job definitions stored, and how simple is it to "save-off" and "restore" this info, assuming a CD-R approach?

This would also be handy to get the Backup jobs and schedules restored too. This could be part of the data restores done using Backup Exec from tape. Currently, our Technical Services personnel manually recreate all jobs and schedules when rebuilding a server, which is time consuming and error prone, as some of the jobs and schedules are fairly complex. (There's some irony in there somewhere)

We are using Backup Exec 8.6 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Thanks! [glasses]
