Skip, When a group touring the Crest Toothpaste factory got caught in a large cooler, headlines read... Tooth Company Freeze a Crowd! and Many are Cold, but Few are Frozen!
Sorry Skip - I must have a case of head-up-a** syndrome! Application is Office 2007 (Access 2007 to be specific). The "ribbon" of this suite takes the place of the old File,Edit,View... menu.
If you know XML you can do so yourself. Patrick Schmidt is in fact one of the foremost leaders on Ribbon customization and development. Bottom line is it doesn't take much to customize the Ribbon, there are just certain restraints and drawbacks you must live with. The lack of programmability to the Ribbon has turned off many programmers and consultants from working with this version. It is not impossible by any means, just different.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I didn't really want to go to all the trouble of changing an XML file or using a 3rd party add-on. I thought it might have been one of those "undocumented" things that Microsoft is so fond of doing.
