Possible Grouping Problem (?)

I have created a report that shows equity positions in a portfolio, broken down by sector and equity type. The grouping is on the equity type exclusively.

When I preview the report, I see the expected results where more than one equity style is involved. In this instance, a second page should create to display the next equity style (if more than one style is used in the portfolio). However, when I click on the second style, Crystal does nothing. A second page is not creating (in the instance where 2 styles are used).

I have a strong hunch that I have a disconnect somewhere between my subreports and the main page. I've selected the "New Page After" button and set the formula to "Not OnLastRecord" at the main report level, though I may have done so in the wrong place. I realize that this is kinda tough to comment on, but any hints as to where I might make an adjustment or two would be most appreciated.

Thanks,
Tim

A little more information on the layout of your report is required

show sample data and layout
which section(s) are the sub-report(s) in
How are the sub reports linked to th emain report

show expected/desired layout

The report is laid out with 10 subreport boxes, all linked to both the portfolio ID, and the equity style. All of the subs exist in report headers c(4), d(3) and e(3).

A sample of the data contained in one of the subs would be:

Header - Industrials
Details - Southwest Airlines 0.9%
SPX Corp 1.0%
Lockheed Martin Corp 1.1%

Footer a - SUM 3.0%
Footer b - Russell 1000 Growth 12.0%

Using the above as an example, this portfolio also holds equities that are considered to be "value" style equities, so I would expect to see the following on a new page (along with all of the appropriate headers at the page level, etc.):

Header - Industrials
Details - Stocks (same format as above) ?.0%
Footer a - SUM ?.0%
Footer b - Russell 1000 Value 10.2%

So, essentially, I expect to see a new page for every distinct value contained in Footer b.

Please let me know what other holes I can fill...

Thanks so much for your help.
Tim

Gary,

I believe that I found the issue. The main report contained headers a, b and c that weren't part of any group. I created a group based on the equity style, and then never used those group-level headers.

Thanks so much for taking the time to think about this with me.

Kind Regards,
Tim
