Hi,

I've set up several batch files which I need to view all at once. Does any one know if it is possible via the command line to make the different cmd.exe windows open all in different positions rather than all opening in the default position set in the cmd.exe window ??

Thanks for any help offered.

If all the BATs are in the same directory you can use edit.com to view them (upto 15--I think).

at the command prompt you simply type:

c:>edit *.bat

--MiggyD

It isn't possible to control where running batched are displayed via the command line. I think you can do it via VBScript however.

ok its not possible to control the location and size of the window directly but it can be controled....

you will need to run it once (once for each bat file) while its running right click on the title bar and edit the "properties" of the window....

on the layout tab you can control the size and location of the window...uncheck the box under "window position" that says "let system control position" and input your coordinates. when you exit it will ask you if you want to use these new settings once or everytime its run...obviously select the later. this will only be good for sessions run on this pc..
hope this helps.
