I'm looking for a portal system. I need something that is more content oriented and not so much a "forum". I do, however, want people to signup and comment on news, articles, etc. I just dont want it to be a "message board".
Also, the site will have hundreds of downloads, but I don't want users to be able to download unless they have registered first.
I have a lot of other needs for this portal, but those are the primary ones. I will have to do a large amount of customization regardless. So far I'm looking at phpbb + some modules and then customizing the hell out of it.
Any other suggestions?
