Portal content update

Hi all,

When I check the "Gatherer Log Details", after the "Full portal content update", I get the following errors:

The address could not be found, (0x80042616 - Error in the Site Data Web Service. )

According to MS support website, this is an error due to the proxy server! Which is not my case, as I don't have any, and sharepoint is configured to work without.

Help would be very much appreciated!

I had a totally unrelated problem that was fixed by fooling with proxycfg. Windows Update website wouldn't run right on my server. Called in a ticket with Microsoft, and they had me run proxycfg -d (we also don't have a proxy server), and then it worked fine, even though I was never set for a proxy.

Anyway, with the two paths it can't crawl, do you have any excluded path rules? or rules to index certain paths with a different account than the default content access account?

I couldn't try your trick, as after many searches, I decided to reinstall SPS. Now, everything is fine!
