Hi, I have 2 3750's stacked and I am having an issue with port sapnning. On the second switch I have ports 1 set as the source port and 19 as the dest port. As soon as I set the config on this switch for span my server on the dest port cannot see the network. I cannot ping the server either. Any ideas? Here is the config:
Session 1
---------
Type : Local Session
Source Ports :
Both : Gi2/0/1
Destination Ports : Gi2/0/19
Encapsulation : Native
Ingress: Disabled
Am I just missing something?

The destination port shouldn't be able to see anything... It is the monitor port.

I guess now I understand that part but how do I "mirror" 2 ports? I have an internet filter that reports to a seperate SQL server. Can this be done without having to install a second NIC and eat up another port? Obviously I need to have the monitoring server to be able to communicate with the rest of the network.
Thanks for the responses!

I don't think you can do this w/o adding another NIC. Generally the monitoring ports are designed for IDS sensors, that won't use the regular network anyways.
