Port Forwarding....

I couldn't find a Netgear forum, but figured someone here could atleast tell me something or where to go...

Situation:

2 computers connect by a Netgear RP114 router with internet connection via RoadRunner Cable Modem

Problem:

Trying to set up FTP servers possibly on both computers. Router accepting changes of which port to forward to which IP. Software firewall has been properly configured. When telnetting to WAN IP and correct port a Unable to connect error is displayed.


Any ideas?

You might try opening ports on both TCP 20 and 21. FTP uses both. Erik Rudnick, CCIE No. 9545
