Guys,
I am running Citrix FR2 and need to have port 443 forwarded to 192.168.0.5 and then when an app is launched have port 443 forwarded to 192.168.0.8 Citrix Secure Gateway. I only have one IP. That's my problem.

Any ideas, can ports be forwared by FQDN...

Thanks,

Scott

HI,
I have been reading about port triggering and dont really understand what it does could you please shed some light on it.

Scott

A port forward is a fixed assignment from the WAN side of the router to the LAN side.

With port triggering the assignment is made by any LAN side IP address. It is essentially a temporary and reassignable port forward that is triggered into making the port forward assignment from activity by the LAN IP workstation.

The trigger is an outbound use of a trigger port by the application of the workstation. In the router you set the trigger port and the inbound traffic forwarding port. The router then makes the port forwarding assignment.

BCASTER,
I just bought a used router Nexland Pro800 Turbo do you know if this router has that capability. Also can I force the port trigger to use port 443.

Thanks,

Scott

It is under the heading Special Applications.
You can select any trigger port you want.

BCASTER,
I did a little more research, port triggering wont work because the CSG would have to trigger the application from the inside. I trigger the CSG from outside. I found a router that does multi-Nat I believe this is what I need. (SonicWall TZ170). Allows you to run 2 servers on network using port 443 seeting NAT policies.
