Has anyone used Mailgates Popweasel?
I've inherited an NT4/Exchange 5.5 system which uses Popweasel to download mail from the ISP. The .exe which scheduled Popweasel became corrupt and since then I've not been able to get hold of any mail. Even running Popweasel from the cmd prompt doesn't work. (I have uninstalled/reinstalled).
The log file shows the handshaking taking place and the mail being accessed, then a socket error ends the exchange.
I am having a problem with DNS which may be related. When I try to view DNS properties I get the following error msg 'c:\winnt\system32\dns.exe is valid but for a machine type other than the current machine.' I can't remove DNS and trying to reinstall it also fails.
Event viewer is showing the following (Exchange):- 'Address template for locale ID could not be found. Ignoring, please install language support for that language by importing appropriate address template from MS Exch client CDROM.'
Any ideas??
