Hello,

We currently use the POP 3 connector in Exchange 2003 SBS to get our e-mail from our web hosting provider. I kind of like this setup because if our server is down, the e-mail doesn't bounce and we have a certain amount of guaranteed uptime.

We are moving web hosting providers for a number of reasons but with the new one we have setup a new domain name and are in the process of transferring the old domain name to the new web host.

Right now e-mail delivered to both domains, on tehir respective hosts goes to a "catch all" e-mail box which I pop the mail out of. Cool.

Now, when I park the two domains to the same place the mail sent to either one is going to goto the same mail box. The pop3 connector wants the address specified so it knows what is the domain name it is checking. Well if you send mail to two different domain names but they goto the same folder, won't the connector get confused? Any way to go aorund this ?

I have thought about having exchange just handle the incoming mail directly but I dont' liek the security aspects of this so I'm hoping the pop3 connector can do part of the work. The other thing I was thinking was to setup a linux box inhouse and have it use fetchmail to automaticlly get the e-mail, figure out which domain it was sent to and throw it into two separate pop mail boxes which exchange can then get it out of.

Thoughts?
