The following article describes our situation very closely:
In my own words though here goes. There is a yahoo account. I need to setup the pop3 connector to download from this yahoo mailbox. This works in that it downloads the mail but the generates the following event id:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: POP3 Connector
Event Category: Delivery
Event ID: 1070
Description:
An attempt to relay e-mail to recipient <SMTPAddress> was made. The e-mail could not be delivered because the recipient's e-mail domain name does not match any local e-mail domains.
At this point the mail disapears. However what I have found is that if the Primary SMTP address is mydomain.local the mail is recieved but if it is myname@yahoo.co.uk the mail isnt delivered and the event mentioned above is produced.
I need the Primary SMTP address for this user to be myname@yahoo.co.uk otherwise people wont be able to reply sussessfully. Has anyone successfully got the POP3 connector working with yahoo?
At present the sooner we get a domain registered and abandon pop altogether the better.
Best Regards,
Llevon
