Pop up stops job

I am running arc-serve 2000 i am backing up to a single drive with a single tape. At this point I need to write to a second tape (to much data to fit on 1). When the first tape finishes the night operator inserts a second tape, but unless he logs on the console and clicks "ok" to a pop up message saying "please insert media" it does not resume.
Is there a way to have it resume the backup w/o him logging on
by the way arc-serve tech support said there was not

I thought that was changed in an update, so that after 5min. it would time out and continue anyways. If you are not current you might try updating, otherwise it is by design and no way around it.
