I have a popup on my main page that I edit once a day to notify people that reports are done. I would like this popup to appear once per session per user. If they close out of the site, then they will see it again. I'm just trying to keep it from popping up when clicking the back button or my home button. Maybe I should code in some cookies? Or just create a session variable and check to see if it is there.

something like this will do it
Code:
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE=VBSCRIPT RUNAT=SERVER>
If SESSION(&quot;visited&quot;) <> &quot;&quot; Then
popup code here
End If
SESSION(&quot;visited&quot;) = &quot;true&quot;
</SCRIPT>
